Ivan Ezra Teri

Ivan Ezra Teri is a public health technical advisor and medical geneticist with 15 years international experience in the health and social development sector, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa. As a Quality Management and Improvement leader, he helps teams improve processes and systems in global health-focused organizations & local health facilities. His work has included improving organization-wide performance through adaptation of methods such as Total Quality Management (TQM), improving clinical services through context-specific QI methods and Strategic Information and leading institutionalization of evidence-driven work and learning practices through creation of platforms for data use including harnessing informatics and business intelligence technologies.

Ivan is a certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence and certified Quality Improvement Associate through the American Society of Quality and is a member of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Quality of HIV Care Global Working Group. He holds a Masters in International Health and Bachelor (Hons) in Medical Genetics from Queen Margaret University (UK) and University of Leicester (UK) respectively. Mr. Teri is passionate about working to transform Africa’s healthcare systems to better serve current and future populations with quality, safe and people-centered services.
