Zara Mahdi

Zara has a unique gender and evaluation experience in fragile states, particularly in West Africa. She is a Project Manager who led cross cultural teams during Ebola emergency response with the strong background in planning, developing, and conducting research. Zara has an extensive knowledge in impact evaluation methodologies including research and interventions on traditional practices and issues affecting African girls and women such as Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), Obstetric Fistula and Child Marriage. Her passion for women and girls’ issues has furnished her with communicative skills for bridging the gap with multiple stakeholders (United Nations, media, non - profit and government officials) in multiple development areas.
